This policy explains how RapidWorker AU (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your information in connection with our platform that connects businesses and professionals. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect

We collect information you provide directly or via your use of the platform, including:

Account details: name, email, password (hashed), role (business or professional).
Profiles: professional info (skills, qualifications, resume/CV, profile photo), business info (company name, logo, industry, bio).
Messaging data: messages you send/receive, attachments you choose to upload.
Transactional data: subscription or payment metadata (via Stripe, see Section 4).
Usage & device data: IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic diagnostic logs for security and performance.

We do not buy or sell personal data.

3. How we use information

Provide and improve the service (profiles, discovery, messaging, shortlisting).
Display information you choose to make visible to registered users (e.g., profiles, company pages).
Operate safety features, detect abuse, and enforce our terms and acceptable use rules.
Send service notifications (e.g., account, billing, or important updates).
Respond to support requests and feedback.

4. Payments and Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. RapidWorker AU does not store or have access to your full card details. Stripe processes payment data under PCI-DSS requirements. You can learn more at stripe.com/docs/security.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies for login and session management. We may introduce analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) in the future to understand usage and improve the product. Analytics may collect anonymised or pseudonymised information such as page views and general device data. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Storage and security

Data is hosted primarily in Australia using reputable providers including Supabase (Sydney region), Vercel, and Microsoft services. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No online service is ever risk-free, but we work to reduce risks and respond quickly if issues arise.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We share information only when necessary:

With registered users, to the extent you choose to make profile information visible.
With service providers (e.g. hosting, email, payments) under appropriate agreements.
To comply with law, regulation, or valid legal process.
To protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud or abuse.
As de-identified or aggregated insights that do not identify you.

8. Data retention and deletion

You can edit or delete your profile at any time via account settings.
To fully delete your account (and associated data), contact hello@rapidworker.com.au. We’ll confirm deletion once completed.
Some backups may persist for a short time for security and integrity before permanent removal.

9. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You can also withdraw consent where relevant. Contact us at hello@rapidworker.com.au to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before actioning requests.

10. Children

RapidWorker AU is for users aged 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. International transfers

Our primary hosting is in Australia. Some service providers or support tools may process limited data in other countries. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in laws or features. We’ll post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we’ll take additional steps to notify you.
